Default Buying a tC

Hi my name is Tan, I'm new to the board and planning on buy a tC. If I wanted a tC with no extra options added on, is it possible to get it or is my only options the one they have on the lot?

scions are monospec. as in they all leave the factory exactely the same with the exception of manual or automatic transmissions, and paint color.

the exceptions are the release series which have exclusive colors and options, and the tc spec, which is a downgraded version of the tc, fixed glass roof, less chrome accents, no engine immobilizer, cheaper interior seat and headliner material.

so all the new tc's at the dealership should without any options installed on them. so just buy the car from the dealership, and order all the accessories you want from www.trdsparks.com.

If you were to call the dealership or go to the dealership...you can specifically ask for a tC with no extras...usually the main extra's that come with the car are mats, premium audio radio and some might have Toyoguard...what you can do is ask them to see if they have some on their lot without that or in their pit...or place an order for one with no extras...but you might have to wait a few days and place a downpayment.

Good luck!

Call dealerships. Go on their websites even.

narrow it to what color you want and transmission and ask the dealer if they have that and only that.

Yea...what evryone else said..

I was lucky..I got mine with NO extra Crap on it...except the Side Aurbags which was a $860 option..I had no choice..I have an 06 tC

Then all I got was the Scion Security...

Dont get TuRD Parts...U can get "better" afternarlet stuff & Cheaper through other websites and places..

Everything at the dealership is WAY overpriced. I recomend just getting the bare minimum. If they don't have a basic tC, they can always order one.

that is really strange, dealerships should have 100% blank scions. all the dealerships i have been to and walked my friends through buying were 100% bone stock without a single accessory installed on. call more dealerships, go there in person maybe and look around. shouldn't be that hard to find one.

The situation dosn't supprise me. The dealership I went to had several 2007 tC's, but I ended up with the cheapest automatic on the lot (I wasn't buying for speed). None were the color I wanted (first choice black, I got Nautical Blue), and the dealership options were too much to justify buying some of the things I wanted (XM radio-which I got from Crutchfield, and fog lights-which are on order).

Personally, dont be afraid to shop/call around. You are going to be in this car for a while, buy the one you want.

most dealers have also their own websites which show what inventory they have..maybe that'll help you out a little and save some time.

Your wanting a spec tc and not all dealers will have those, Your best bet is to go ahead and order what you want.

My local dealer has not got a single spec in since they released them, Its only by ordering but they carry plenty fo the normal tc's with no extra options

Good luck!
