Default A/C went out ... ?

Last Thursday... in 80F weather, I turned off the car ... filled the tank. Turned it back on... and the A/C would no longer blow.... at all. I checked fuses... checked gas cap. Then left the station. After about 20 minutes on the freeway it kicked back on, but ever since the A/C doesnt' seem to blow as hard. (could be in my head?) It does blow cold.... just the force isn't as much.

ALSO... same day... it seemed the front radiator fan wasn't turning on high speed as much as it should have. The car's temp was in the middle without moving, but the fan wasn't on after 30 minutes of freeway driving with A/C on in 80F weather... something just isn't right about that, correct?

Could the two be related?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

They could absolutely be related. If your radiator is damaged, that affects the cooling system negatively. I would check to make sure all of your hoses are okay, check your coolant level. Check your radiator for damage. Give us some info on your car, like mileage, mods, recent mods...

wow!... and another thing did you do the air filter mod???? if that could have stressed the blower"s motor out (in glove compartment) if not then i would still check hoses the "master plug" (under the hood and to your left it has a handle on it) good luck and let us know the outcome

just so you know, the car is not modded at all.... ever.... (unless you consider a nav system a real mod? :-p )

Sorry I cannot help here but , here is some info . ALWAYS keep an eye on your temp gauge . I know you know this anyway but , the TCs are really bad if the temp gets too high . I have talked to Toyota techs and they say these cars have few problems BUT , if they get hot , EVERYTHING in the engine compartment will go bad . Just some info I picked up .
Good luck
