i got a keychain remote on ebay for my 05 tc and i cant get it to program... do i have to have the key/remote in one for it?

 

um. this doesnt make sense to me, our keys are for keyless entry..

i think its somewhere in C (electrical), then look for registering new key that u got off ebay, then ull be prompted to click another link.

i bought it used and the key doesnt have a remote bulit in, and i only got one key.

no i get all the way to the programming mode and when it says to hold the lock and unlock then hold the lock button within 3 secs then it doesnt do anything i replaced the battery still no luck

 

If u followed all the steps correctly:
It will lock/unlock ONCE if its succesfull, else
TWICE if unsuccesfull... So battery shouldn't have something to do with that... But if it didn't do nothing, and you followed every steps, changed the battery... There's a chance that u have a defective remote.

 

thats what im guessing i should just go to the dealer and get the one thats on the key thanks man
