So when I did my deal for my tC... they said it'll be mine on Feb 14th (yesterday) .... and I made the deal Jan 29th... so for the past 15 days or so I've been w/o a car...

Anyway, I call them up yesterday and he gives me the excuse that since it's SOOOO hard to find a 5speed BSP, it'll take another WEEK so now I have to wait till the 21st!!!!

My question is.. can they keep delaying my car like this? what if next week they give me another BS excuse?

Hopefuly your dealer isnt like Mazda dealers. I was waiting for a Mazda3 5-spd for over 6 months. Then I finaly gave up and got my tC (which is better) in about 2 months.

 

emo, which dealership did you go to? i went to courtesy scion on 436 and university. i got my car in about 3 weeks.

I waited 3 months for my Blk Sand Prl tC.

 

Try calling other dealers within a 200 mile radius. I kept getting put off by my dealer when I was getting my tC and I finally got fed up, found a dealer via phone who had the exact tC I wanted sitting on his lot. I got a friend to give me a ride (about a 3 hour road trip) bought the car and drove it home. The first dealer called me the next day and I told him "nevermind." He was a ____ty salesman anyway, so that felt good. Anyway, point is, work the phones a bit. The tC has been out for months now and, depending where you are in the country, you might not have to wait.

 

Yeah, I was stuck at one dealership for 3 weeks. But then
Raul at Elmhurst Scion dug one up for me in like 24 hours.

Call around because some dealerships don't play well
with others (so I've found out) and there may be one out
there that's just not accessable to your dealership.

Is it Scion of Orlando that you are dealing with? If so they do not trade with other dealers so they are hoping of earning it on allocations. I traded to BSP 5 speeds for two sold BSP autos last week.

i had to wait 3.5 weeks and apparently thats cause I live in bakersfield, but if you go to LA at longo its like 6-8 or something.

 

Shoot i would get ____ed and call around. I only had to wait 5 hours. But still i hate people who put it off or give you the run around.

ME TOO! it was the last ont he lot and had everything i wanted and the color i wanted too! FLINT MICA! BODY KIT, EXHAUST, REAR LIP SPOILER...LOADED!

 

^^ DITTO! it only took 3 weeks and got it exactly how I wanted it.

 

All the cars here in MI come bone stock (from what my salesman said). I drove mine off without any options. I came back a week later to get all my stuff put on.

 

Are you sure? Hmmm because when i got mine everything was already installed, Exhaust, Rear Lip Spoiler, Body Kit, And they just got 6 the day before can they do all that in one day? or you think it came with everything on it?

 

the weird thing is im going to school in AZ so when i was back home i asked about getting a tc and they had a flint and a black coming in in 5spd in 2 days but i was leaving and then im in az so i decide to get one here instead and this time they said they were getting a black and flint within a week both 5spd i just got lucky i guess.... hope all works out

I got lucky and only waited 5 days for my BLK Tc. It came out of the Houston port. The thing is that dealers are not likly to give up a odd color or options because they can sell it and mke more $. If you can't get on readily avalible from the port than you do need to call OR better yet send E-mails you to every one that you would be willing to drive to. hope this helps.

 

If they're still looking for the car right now, how did they make a deal then? the only time that you can contract (make a deal) a car is when you have all the info of the incoming vehicle especially the Vin #.... hmmm
