Default Cannot disable Seatbelt Buzzer

First of all, I did my research, I know there are different ways to do this and here is the method I use:

step 1 turn the key to the 'on' position. using the trip meter button, toggle the lcd until 'ODO' is displayed.
step 2 turn the key off. turn the key back to the 'on' position. within six seconds of doing so, press and hold the trip meter button for ten seconds. after ten seconds, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
step 3 the buzzer by default is set to on. once you've held the trip meter button for ten seconds and then buckled the driver's side seatbelt, the lcd will then disply 'b-OFF', telling you that the buzzer is now turned off. you can now let go of the trip meter button. if pressed again in this mode, you will set the buzzer back to on, 'b-ON'.
*note* if the battery or combination meter is disconnected, you will have to follow the procedure again.

I actually got to the "b-on", "b-off" part, and I toggle to "b-off." However, when I turn off the car, and turn it back on again. The buzzer still came out, and when I did the process again, the disply went back to "b-on"
Does anyone have similar problem? What should I do to disable the buzzer.

I hope my description makes sense to you guys....
By the way, I have a 05
Thanks a lot~

if u look under the drivers seat, there is a wire that goes from the seatbelt lock into the carpet. there is also a white connector. just disconnect that thing and ur set.

x3. Don't be a retard, just put the seatbelt on.

For the record, I'm a firm believer that airbags should automatically deploy if a car is driven over 5mph if the driver doesn't have his/her seatbelt on.

Are you sure the seat belt buzzer is what you heard? Even after disabling it, there is still a 5-6 beep sound everytime you turn the key on. Try putting the belt on, wait a few seconds then take it off, with the door closed and the key on. It shouldn't buzz or beep.

^ times 2 man..... the seat belt beep and the initial beep are 2 different things. when it says b-off then the seat belt beep is disabled.

don't go unplugging ish under your seats, you will send error codes to your bcm and end up with more problems.

Oh! I guess I misundertood it. Somehow I feel my car only have the initial beep so I assume that is the one I can disable. By the way, can I disable the initial buzzer? Since I always remeber wearing my seatbelt, I found the beep really useless and annoying.

Just put the thing on, and have your passenger put it on. It's the law for a reason. I think it's ____ing stupid as hell that wearing a seatbelt is even an option still. It should be forced, not optional.

I agree-- its there for a reason and having been the passenger in 2 accidents where the cars were totaled, I can say there is a damn good reason that the seatbelt is there. it works.

4 point harnesses are less safe for road use.

Be careful what you wish for there, Ralph Nader. Next thing you know we'll all be driving with mandatory helmets on and have seatbelts mounted to the doorframe like the ugly old Ford Escorts. Forcing things on the public in the name of "safety" has always had unintended consequences when the government got involved. (/end Libertarian rant.)
p.s. I always wear my seatbelt, because I want to, not because I am forced to do so.

By law, you are required to wear a seat belt when operating a motor vehicle on public roads. There is no reason as to why the driver should be given the option of putting it on or leaving it off.

i dont think the argument is even about wearing your seatbelt, its the fact that the seat belt beep is annoying as ____. your in the car for 5 sec and the thing is going off as im placing the seatbelt in the holder, it just gets to me.

carbon we all know the law. no need to keep telling us. im sure this guy and the rest of us are smart enough to wear our seatbelt all the time

I always wear my seatbelt. I come from an era where seats were smooth and flat, and the saetbelt was the only thing that kept me from sliding over the passenger side every time I turned left.

But I don't need a goddamn piezo tweeter chirping at me every time I turn the car on. What's next? A buzzer that goes off every time you go over 65mph?
