Default Car Broken Into *PIC*

So... Broke my driver side window. Ripped the center console apart breaking a few clips (annoying to replace). Tried to steal my DDX6019 Kenwood DVD screen but failed so they just broke it. Stole my 2x IPODS, my PS2 that was wired into the system in my glovebox, my entire CD collection, all my random movies and games sitting around the car. my AIR SPENCER CSX3 even. bastards. insurance deductible is 1K, no comprehensive. That means they will not cover any of the "custom" stereo i had installed and will give me a new stock stereo and a window for 1K which is worthless to me. Looks like im coming completely out of pocket to replace the window and not having a stereo at all. Anyone know someplace that can try to fix my DDX6019 DVD screen? They just kind of ripped the screen part halfway off and it may still be an easy fix.

ahh that sucks! I had my truck broken into once, only had a $500 deductbile, and they replaced my whole system, cd's, window...all together I think the check was for $3,000.

should probably pay for better insurance if you have better stuff than the stock...

lesson learned.

How are you not carrying any comprehensive, thats a liability for your finance company...unless you own the car.

damn dude! while my tc was parked at work i had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. some fools broke the passenger window and attempted to steal my nav but they failed and the just got away with my cds. if you have home owners insurance you can usually claim the stuff like the ps2, games, movies and what not if your deductible is worth it. (any thing that is property of yours that are things you usually keep at home can be claimed if they are stolen from you car)

no the radiodoor wasnt covered because my windows are 5% limo tinted and theres 0% chance of seeing a DVD screen in there. these guys obviously just looked at the car and assumed i had plenty of toys inside to grab. probably thought i would have a nice system to ******. i guess i dont have comprehensive after talking to my insurance company although like you said i would think you would have to being that it is a new car and i owe so much on it... hmm. i just brought it to a glass shop for a new window 150$ installed. and so i now have a window again with a broken stereo and no CDs or PS2. or even an air freshener

Well thats strange that the insurance company lets you insure a financed car without comp. I would suggest checking for alternative insurance companies if your deductible is 1k on collision WITHOUT comp and no glass coverage. I pay a pretty penny also because I am not yet 25 but I do carry comp and collision with $0 glass deductible.
