You'd be surprised what thieves 'can't see. If they 'look' hard enough, the can see quite a bit. Still suck$ though. Not a pretty site at all. Shame on you for not closing the radio door and leaving random stuff (CDs, PS2 games, etc.) in your ride. I try to keep my radio door closed at times. That way if I'm at a stop light, curious eyes can't peep my ____e. Also, that's why I rarely leave anything of value in my tC. Heck, I take my iPod with me when I go into work. I just don't want to give thieves a chance. GL with the process. It's a PITA. Definitely look for better insurance!

So question is. My DDX6019 Kenwood indash DVD still seems to kind of function but the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the main core of the unit was pulled out. I think if thats reconnected properly this can probably work. Question is where can I send this or take the deck to have it fixed? Any ideas?

That means they will not cover any of the "custom" stereo i had installed and will give me a new stock stereo and a window for 1K which is worthless to me. Looks like im coming completely out of pocket to replace the window and not having a stereo at all. Anyone know someplace that can try to fix my DDX6019 DVD screen? They just kind of ripped the screen part halfway off and it may still be an easy fix.

Damn, that picture makes me cringe. Some people have no respect for others property. I would contact Kenwood and see if they can, or recommend places, that can repair the unit. I hope everything works out for you.

Just for everyone (my little advice rant): Thieves have certain ways to "see" what's in the car. Driving next to you and looking in to see your double din stereo, hearing your amp/sub bumping while you're heading home, even just hearing CD quality music will get their interest. Many take extra steps to protect their investment. Some as easy as buying an alarm or adding tint to the windows, but another step is to lower the volume of the music, turn off the bass, and close that head unit door about 5 blocks away from your destination. If they see something shiny in the car, you can bet the interest of breaking into the car has gone up quite a bit, especially for a new and nice looking car. Be safe everyone.
