I've been through something similar with Tustin Toyota. You should call Scion Customer Service, and start documenting what's been happening. If need be, they'll even set you up to meet with a factory service representative if the dealership is unwilling to own up to the damages they caused.

Go around your car, and take pictures of it. Everything, from front to back, lights, interior, engine, wheels, tires, even knicks and dings you know are there. Pictures do wonders when u have to go to court. Its also a great way of backin a big company down.
agreed. +1

Default damages

the dealership put a dent in each of my four quarter panels when rotating the tires they said the car was too low and they had to lift up on the wheel wells to get the car on the lift. I pointed it out and they paid to have all four panel repaired. I just had to let them know what the problem was, and that they needed to pay to have it fixed. It wasnt there before the service apt. they caused the problem and they needed to fix it. done and done.

According to her if my dealer refuses to fix my car or if they make me go w/ their shop I call up corporate and they will take over form there. So far I'm pretty optimistic....we'll see what happens on Monday. Now if I could only stop looking over my car. Every time I check it out I see something new!

unfortunately, remember that all that scion corporate can do if you call them back still unhappy is PR - nothing more. Make sure that you escalate it to the general manager (just under the owner). They care much more about PR than the service manager who tends to be a pain in the butt no matter where you go. It's like a prerequisite for the position that must be clearly posted on the resume. lol

RS3- I went to Lakeland Toyota...good experience w/ purchasing the car(basically I got what I wanted out of the deal and didn't get screwed out of my trade, Courtesy wouldn't budge), things just went downhill w/ the service dept.

Dwatts- Oh yeah, i have pics! Fortunatly they were quite new. I magnified all the areas of concern as well. I also gave them to the SRM yesterday. He very much agreed everything looked normal at the time I took the pics. We both have copies. I also took some more today.

Spect- The one good thing about me is that I will annoy anyone I have to! I've decided to start off nicely (but firm, of course) and if someone ____es me off it's over. I'll go to someone's house if I need to!

**Update**

So, I talked to the realtions mgr. today. He basically told me I'm screwed
He spoke w/ the guy at the shop who won't take any responsibility. The SRM completley agrees that damage has been done and was attempted to be fixed, but he can only go as far as speaking w/ the service mgr.(who has already told me can do nothing) and the shop. So, now I have a call into the sales mgr and if he won't do anything then the owner is next. The "great" thing is that apparently the owner of the dealership also owns this body shop. Great for me, huh? I have heard he is very big on PR and making sure that things go great and that the dealership has a good name. Hopefully this is true and will work in my favor.

So now I'm just waiting....I have submitted my story to the local news station, but I won't get a reply for 2-3 weeks. I think I'm also gonna give them a call tomorrow or Thurs. to see what they think. I will also be contacting the BBB and the attorney general's office on Fri. Short of calling a lawyer does anyone have anymore advice?
I don't really want to have to take it that far, but I will if I need to. All I want if my car fixed right.......

You are skipping a step (or adding one). The sales mgr is useless. Your next step is the general manager. This is the man/woman who is in charge of the dealership (just under the owner). He/she is above the service/sales managers and is usually the one that can help you. As I have said before, contact the general manager and tell them the entire situation. Before you end the phone call however, if you haven't been satisfied. bring up the fact that you are contacting scion corporate, the bbb, attorney general, the news station, and of course in the process of talking with a lawyer.
