Default Car Discrimation (failed spelling as you can tell)

So I decided to take the long way to Carmax so I can drop off print-outs, photos to my sales consultant, go get something to eat after then finally go to work. I was on busy four lane highway that is 55 mph while I'm doing 60-65 and all of sudden a Volvo SUV pass by me least doing 75. She lane changes into my lane (right lane.) We were on a hill and the SUV slammed onto her brakes while I'm slowing down by letting go of the gas. There was this County that happened to be sitting there and I dropped down to 45. The SUV speed up back to "speeding" and the S.O.B. of a County pulls me over while I'm doing 60.

He claimed I did 73! When at most (I'm not lying, I promise) was 65! I even told him "You should of went for the Volvo. She was doing least 70-75." He gave me $160.00 ticket for doing 70 in 55 zone.

My sales consultant laughed out loud cause she admitted to me "10 over around there is nothing. Just throw it in the batch of tickets you have already" This is been my third, one so far.

I got in argument at work with few people above me last night and I got into my car. Got it up to 115 on the highway near work to let go some steam....Where was the County then???

So I'm fighting it....I hate to see how many times our cars get pulled over for not speeding.

That sucks bro... they're always there when you don't need them. I'd be ____ed off too, but i don't think there is much you can do here.

slow down..
catching car speeding is like fishing. Police can't catch everyone.
It is bad luck that you got caught instead of the Volvo.

Anyways, sorry to hear that. Did the County (sheriff?) have a speedgun/radar and tagged you at 73mph? Maybe if you contest the ticket in court, he won't show up. Anyhow, good luck!

Whats the deal with SUVs hating on us?

Around the corner from my job theres a part where the road merges from 2 lanes to 1 lane. I never have any trouble from STi's G35s or anything like that. its almost like we all have a mutual respect for each other. but the SUVs are d!cks! I'm ahead of this guy and he sees the road merging so he speeds up rides the guys infront of him bumper. Now I was having a pretty bad day that day so I wasn't about to take his BS plus I go down this road all the time so I know the shoulders more then wide enough for me, so anyway he forces me onto the shoulder, won't let me in for shh even though I was ahead of him and still was even on the shoulder. Knowing that the shoulder was wide enough for me for a little bit longer I decided I had enough of his BS, dropped a gear and hop infront of the guy infront of the SUV. Then he jumps on the onramp and tried to ride my butt onto the on ramp to the highway but he couldn't keep up(not that i was speeding, tc was just much quicker then his bulky SUV was on the ramp)

Today it happened again, Another Big butt SUV did the same stupid shh. But today i decided to just let him continue being the d!ck that he was and just got behind him.

That's very true, along with the SI guys. I'll be going 35 and a cop would get right on my tail, and in a school zone of all places!! That never happened to me with my GMC Yukon back in the day.

My tC is stock while my truck had Flowmaster and a big system.

I would profile tCs if I were a cop. If I really wanted to protect the public as a highway patrol officer, tCs would be pretty near the top of my list of cars to pull over.

Just because I own a sport compact coupe shouldn't make me a target for cops, but it does.

If I was an officer, I would focus on SUV's because at higher speeds they are more erratic.

I don't think there are many SUV drivers who drive it like they stole it. Sport compacts and erratic driving just go hand-in-hand. Whenever I see dangerous driving, it's usually being done by a kid driving a Scion or other similarly-priced and similar-sized car.

actually i see a whole bunch of SUVs who drive like they own the road. just because they're dumba$$es with horsepower and even if they hit something, they'll probably just get a little scratch.

i see a bunch of "gangstas" in their lifted black and chrom trimmed trucks weaving through traffic. It's kind of painful to hear all that gas going to waste when they pass by..

I see a lot of trucks flying on the highway. Yeah, sport compacts are usually driven by young, unexperienced drivers and you do see a lot them speeding. But speeding trucks are a scary sight, take it from me.

Well, I think another factor is that young people are less likely to know their rights, and therefore less likely to argue, put up resistance, or fight the ticket. That could be why cops prefer to pull over cars normally associated with young people.
