might not be car knocking,as much as the piping knocking on body panel, check for clearance issues,as when you hit the catch point as you put it carr starts to lug and that lugging moves motor a bit and that might cause piping to hit panels......

well didn't fijuta provide you the proper equipment? i dont have one in my scion, but when i had one in my golf, there was a rubber material that attached to somekind of motor mount, so it didnt move anywhere. maybe you missed something and thats why its hitting

yeah i attached the motor mount.. the catch point is when you begin to feel the car move as you're letting go of the clutch? i dunno thats what i was taught it was called haha and to BZinn1, alrightyy that might be what's causing it.. thanks!

Guys, he's talking about the piping hitting the body panel in the engine bay. This is a problem with the INJEN's also since it sends the piping through a tiny little hole to the fenderwell. Simple cushioning will take care of this problem, Dr. Isotope also sells a piece to insert that stops this.

yea i figured out so much. but i wasn't expecting a 250$ cai to be giving you any problems whats so ever lol. but if i were you OP i would put some heat resistant cushioning in there and securing it somehow or if you want a proper and nice looking job, get that insert piece that spicy mchaggiz was talking about
