has anyone remove the carbon filter in the airbox and done a smog test? i was wondering if u still pass it. i just removed mine. if u guys had to install it back in before smog where can i order this item and do u know the part number i have the supercharger air box

i took mine off and the corners are crack. hopefully i can still pass smog then whenever i get back to cali. anyone know the part number just incase i do need it

 

heh you need to get a whole new top of the air filter box cause those are plastic welded in...

 

really screw that then ima super glue the corners and stick it back in when i need smog test ill just keep my old on in my glove box. anyone with positive answer if u can pass smog without this on

 

forget super glue, use a glue gun instead you'll get more positive results with a glue gun

You will likely need that (or some other kind of air filter) to pass smog in Cali.

If you're that concerned about emissions with removing it then why did you remove it in the first place?

plus i thought hawaii didnt have tough emissions?

 

i removed it cause it lets it breath better but for emission purpose im just gonna put it back in then take it out again

 

plus im in hawaii right now not ca but i will be in 1 yr

 

then if your really worried about it leave it in.

 

i have it still and since i cant buy one without buying a whole new air box im just gonna super glue it or use a glue gun when i get back to cali for smog
