Default CEL Question

Okay so my check engine light came on last night. I didn't do any engine modifications lately.....Before i have installed CAI, headers and an axle-back exhaust (HKS) Now probably a month went by, or even more since i installed the headers/exhaust. The check engine light came on, no idea why...I went autozone, and this is what their computer said...So what do you guys think it is? could it be a defective oxygen sensor because i replaced the one the headers when i changed the headers...Any ideas? I don't want to take it to the dealer yet, because i would have to remove my headers if i want to get my warranty. So any ideas? Anybody had something similar?

Code:
The PCM has determined that the catalyst system efficiency for bank 1 is below threshold for the current engine operating conditions. ( Bank 1 identifies the location of cylinder #1, while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on opposite bank )

Definition
     Catalyst efficiency low-bank 1
Explanation
The oxygen sensors monitor the catalytic converters
     ability to store oxygen
Probable Causes
     1.-Catalytic Converter defective ( Failure possible due to #2, 3 or 4 )
     2.-Engine misfire or running condition
     3.-Large vacuum
4.-Engine oil leakage into exhaust-valve guide seals, piston rings

Its because of the header. it removes one of the cats so the computer thinks the first one (we have 2) is malfunctioning. Search for the no-foul mod either on here or on google.

thats the same code i get after my header, its nothing to worry about really unless you go to get the car inspected. i have the scangauge II and it deletes the code but it comes back after a day or two.

Sry, I don't want to sound like I'm pushing this guys product for him, but when I see others with CEL I offer this up to them as advice https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...210&highlight=

It's only 25shipped, I've had mine on for over a month now, and as of today 1659 miles and no CEL yet, nor has anyone that bought one complained that they recieved one. He originally had it made for the Invidia s-pipe b/c the current anti-fouler mod would not work for us so he put a 90 degree bend on it. Well we realized that it can indeed be used for any s-pipe as the size of the o2 hole is going to be the same. Plus you can tighten it to point in the direction that you want it. You screw it all the way into the pipe, then back it out only enough for it to point in that direction then tighten it down with that nut the is on it. Hope this helps some of you out, for 25 bucks I think its a pretty good product for one of our own guys to come up with.

And to ishb3w the anti-fouler mod won't work b/c with the increased size of the piping, Invidia left the bung in the stock area but did not account for people using that mod as they don't sell a header :D I hope the above link can help you out as well, and I'm sorry you didnt find a thread that mentioned that before you spent the money on the parts for that mod.

I remember hearing something about a header that had the cat on it. Don't remember the company but something about the ceramic material in the cat broke apart and clogged up the rest of the exhaust piping as it blew out of the cat on the header. Usually getting stuck at the second cat on the mid pipe or in the muffler if that cat was taken out. Damaged some peoples exhaust if I remember correctly.
