Default Changing the dash lighting on a tC

I have a BCP tC with blue interior light accents. I did a search but couldn't find anything specifically about the tC's lighting.

The only thing that bothers me about this car is the dash lighting. I'd like to change them to blue, but it looks like the LEDs themselves are actually amber, and not something you could use Ye Olde Sharpie Trick or a boot for. I am fairly technical and could easily solder on new ones, but I can't figure out 1) how to get the gauge needles off or out of the way and 2) how to make sure they are accurate when I'm finished. Any ideas?

So you want things to match? I personally don't like the whole blue effect... I had a vw, and that drove me crazy, amber is my fav. interior color personally. If you want to change the interior colors to blue, try taking one of those blue rubber slips and cutting it apart to fit over each LED... should work without having to remove the needles, someone else on the forums did just that... good luck

PS: You could find them at Pep-Boys, Advanced Auto, or Wal-Mart
