I heard about that thing - that's almost EXACTLY what I want! I wonder if this will be any cheaper than any of the other units out there - more features, but a less complicated package, so I've got high hopes for something vaguely reasonable - that would be a killer stereo. Would it be a regular fit with the harnesses from the stock system, since they're both pioneer?

I put the nav unit under the passenger seat and the GPS antenna on the dash on the right, next to the windsheild.

Is it on the dash (as in visible) or just under the dash (invisible)?

i like the kenwood and that pioneer coming out sounds ok..why cant they make it in 7inch though!!?? thats my bigest complain, out of all i like the eclipse 7 inchers better, these 6.5 are just not worth it so id rather not invest that much on anything cause ive heard the complains about the eclipse dvd buttons and well id rather wait till something else comes along...nice screens nonetheless everybody, but if only that kenwood was a 7 inch

Not really - you need extra hardware - there are a million threads about it. Search ipod.

Here's mine. I hate the stupid black pocket thing underneath the stereo that comes in the dash adapters, so I customized the bracket to make my cd player fit where I wanted it.

I think replacing the stock head unit would be the first thing to do if you are wanting better sound. The stock speakers sounded pretty good after the switch. I believe the stock unit underpowers the stock speakers. I just switched the door speakers this weekend with Fosgate Fanatic Q components I had sitting in my shed, and now it sounds great. Now, I've got to work on the rear stock speakers...

I also have that Kenwood DVD player too. I got it for $1000. I just got it this week for my xB. I'm installing it hopefully on Wed. Does anyone know the part number or a site where I can buy the 2 brackets for the gaps on the side? The reason I ask is cause my nearest dealership is about an hour away and I'd like to order it if I can.

Is the screen a touch screen too, or do you control it by remote?

Also is their one without a GPS too?

It's a touch screen plus it comes with a remote too. I like that cause that way you don't get any fingerprints on it if you don't want to.
