Default Check your chassis bolts!

I was getting a clunking noise every time I accelerated from a stop. So I downloaded a few diagrams so I could torque down some of the chassis bolts (which was what I suspected was the problem). I started off with just a couple random ones... according to the diagrams I downloaded, the ones I started with had to be torqued to 48 ft-lbs. I start turning the wrench and the little thingy tells me they were at SIXTEEN ft-lbs... just a little loose? I tightened all those, checked a few more random ones, but didn't have to tighten them at all. After taking the car for a test drive, clunking gone!

Moral of this pointless story, check your bolts routinely!

I am getting the same exact thing. Does it sound like a squeaking/clunking sound? Where did you download the diagrams? I want to check mine out.
