my two cent.......i love my tc...now at first i wanted something better and i kinda hated it. I grew up around an area where mommy and daddy bought there sons and daughters evos, 350z, and bmw's and what not. and i had to buy and pay for my car, and i was trying to go ricer and paint __ in and out my car and buy and put cheap parts , and now i realize that i appreciate my car that much more, i go back time to time to my parents house to spend the weekend from college with them and drive around the area and either see those kids who's car was handed to them and see there car dented or hear they have totalled there car and now have to drive grandmas old buick.

now i just like having a clean tc meaning dirt free ( i wash it like once a week), keeping up with the maintainence (oil changes) and here and there saving up for parts that i can feel good about

and i am the type that loves all cars in general i am an enthusiasts for modified cars in general some i like more than others, and others i just dont understand what the heckie the person was thinking, but to each his own

and as far as evo's and sti's i think those cars are awsome and i would like to own one day even maybe and older model, but for 1 i cant afford one right now and 2 i like my simple clean tc!

and if the person revs at you wave like you know them

 

This is stupid who cares, there are always going to be better cars than the next car. There are always going to be people that think their car is better everyone elses car even if it is the same exact thing, it i just a fact of life. It all boils down to money, if most of us had more money we wouldn't be driving a tC. I bought my car because it was affordable, looks great and has more stuff than most cars in its price range.

 

So are most tC owners.

-this thread wasn't stupid, it was some dude just blowing off some steam about a car owner ragging on the TC. Thats all that this thread was about, then out of no where, people went off different tangents and started to rag on other cars just for the hell of it, or just because thats what they need to do.

-personally, whocares what other people think about your car. everyone has their own preference/style. and what might be good for one person, could be crap for another. so just let it be.

 

All this bull$hit comes with the territory though if you think about it. I am an xB owner and to be honest I think most tC owners are douchebags and I have a valid reason for that, in my area most tC owners are kids who think they have a better car than anyone else, and they drive like that, there is actually one kid in Burbank who owns a tC with a turbo and goes around revving at everyone and thinks he's the $hit, and everyone knows he has all that crap because daddy bought it for him. That has become the stereotype of most tC owners. Just like when I tell people I drive an xB (and that it's modified), they assume I slammed it and put 18's (or bigger) on it, when in all actuality its dropped slightly with a lot of go-fast-parts and 16 inch wheels.

Another reason for some of the animosity tC owners get is because the tC is still fairly kinda new to the market, and Toyota pulled the Celica line because sales were dropping and the tC could kinda fill in the gap the Celica would leave. When in the eyes of true sports car enthusiasts it does not, because the Celica was lighter, faster and more nimble than the tC, no matter how much power it produces it will always be a fill-in-the-gap car with a Camry motor.

 

No, tC owners all over are general douchebags. It's a "sporty" girl car aimed at teenagers, that happens faster than automatic Civic DX's.

The tC is the new Civic. I see more tC's with fartcans and shocker stickers than anything else. Fartcan + shocker sticker = Certified Douchebag Ricer.

"man up" REALLY?! come on dude. im just sick of kids thinking theyre so cool because they drive a faster car. people like what they like end of story. im not one to go off and race every car i see on the road. i love my car, i know it's not fast and i know it's not everyones favorite. im just sick of people hating on things they don't know anything about. tc is junk? its a toyota, it's reliable and affordable and thats why i bought it.

and carbonXe, my sig is actually a joke as well. i drove two honda's before i bought my tC. so dont go jumping to conclusions and mock me in YOUR sig. how old are you? grow up man. i wanted to buy your turbo kit, but now i've changed my mind.

 

I'm not mocking you in my sig, I'm stating a fact. And I've had that in my sig for a while, it's actually the link to my 'selling my tC for an S2K' thread. I was just saying that because I'm sick of seeing retarded Toyota fanboys who don't even know what VVTI is saying it's better than VTEC.

 

Alright, well I did not notice it until now so I apologize for that. But I am not a retarded Toyota fanboy and I'm not saying one motor is better than the other. I love all things JDM (yes, i know Scion's are not JDM, but you get what I mean) And as far as VTECH goes, it does dominate and Honda does a DAMN good job of building motors and if the Type-R Si ever came to the US, I wouldve bought that over the tC. I actually considered buying an 07 Si but I found the tC and fell in love with it when I saw it on the lot. Plus it was brand new and who doesnt love a brand new car? haha

 

But as far as this thread goes, I guess I've created a monster. I didn't think it was going to end up like this. I actually thought everyone would get a kick out of it. This will be the last thread I ever post like this haha

Yea i think about all the "what if's" all the time actually but I love my tC, im not going to lie. The Si may actually be my next car lol

Sunday I was driving home int e pouring rain when a 5.0 puled up next to me,reved his engine and poped the clutch and walked his car sideways and nearly into me........

I rolled down the window and waited for him to do so and asked him if he was stupid or something........

goes to show how dumb people on the street are,his car was very fast,way more power than mine and yet he was dumb enough to want to race in the RAIN........

get over it when people turn their nose up at you.....enjoy your car....I take it as a honor when cars twice as fast as me revv......lets me know I did a good job building my ride......

If I wanted a fast car I would go ride my 70 GTO again,daily driver and did 10.40 in the 1/4 all day long......I wanted a nice looking car that ran great for many years to come,handles well and has lots of supporting mods for it......

rule number one other peoples opinions are not your reality.....learn it and live it.....and life is a lot easier.
