Default Chipped windshield

Well, my brothers Altima was getting worked on and he needed a vehicle for a short time. I gave him my tC for a couple of weeks.

So, he brings it back and says "I never saw it coming".

I'm just like crap what happened. I look at my windshield and theres a quarter sized crack. I took it to a couple of places and they said that they wouldn't work on it because it was wet outside, another said because it was cold.

Is that normal or bs?

Its making me mad because its gonna freeze soon and I don't want to replace my windshield if it spider cracks.

- Thanks

you can repair it yourself. All you need is a windsheild repair kit from any automotive store (pep boys, autozone, etc) and you can do that in your garage. It will hide most of the spider cracks too.

put some superglue in the cracks, so water can't get in and expand when it freezes...

yeah you can't work on windows when it's raining. insurance should pay for it though, most car ins. companies do.

Alright, thanks for the help. I'll probably just try to fix it myself.
