Hi guys, I am new to the thread, I’ve just purchased a used car from private seller and according to him. He said car is making a knock/squeak sound from the clutch needs to be replaced. I’ve had a couple days searching and diagnosing the problem and I’m thinking it’s the motor hope it’s not. I’ve ran the motor no knock/squeak on cold start until rev starts slowing down and warmed up idling, then noise start to be more noticeable. So I started playing around with the clutch, depressing it halfway, full, and just slightly pressing the pedal just adding wait to it and still the same sometimes it goes away or just quiet it down. Can’t hear any noise coming from the tranny, more over towards the harmonic balancer I pried the shift fork with a pry bar to add pressure to the fork and knock/squeak gets louder and when I pry to take pressure off it goes away and again the noise is coming from around the harmonic balancer any help would be appreciated. What could it be?
