Default ackward noise when pressing clutch pedal?

when i engage and realease the clutch pedal i get a squiky noise kinda like a old house door does when it needs wd40.it does it when just sitting and while driving ..just curious if any one has this issue?its really loud..i looked at the cable lines and everything is tight ..do we have a hydro thingy on the tranny all i see is the 2 cables form the firewall going to the tranny but no hydro thing to push the arm ..i did notice im slightly low on fluid did a brake job and forgot to refill but its over the min level but not at max?any idea of what i should check.?im going to see if i can get someone to help me press the pedal so i can narrow down the noise but i do know its only doing it when i use the clutch pedal..anyhelp

same problem with the clutch and brake. Also it sometimes sounds like loose change (cant find anything loose though)

If anyone knows what to look for "you're awesome"

first try using a little spray lube on the pedal pivot points, if it only does it when your moving the pedal with or without the motor running.

if it does it when the motor is running, look into getting the throw-out bearing replaced.

if it is making a rattling noise with the motor running sounds like a clutch job cause there is not too much clutch plate left and the bearing isn't holding together.

i know its not the pedal because when i roll the window down you can really hear from the engine bay compartment ..so i know its somewere on the tranny side..have not tryed with the motor not runnin so i will do that when i hear it again...but it did do it at a light in nuetral and as i took off ..it makes the sound when i press it in and let off to go ..

The clutch should last for a very long time if you don't abuse it. No reason for it not to with such little horsepower and a fairly light car.

It sounds like the pilot bearing, mine was doing the samething and the dealership changed the bearing and clutch. I took it home and started doing the samething again. I took it back and they ended up replacing the transmission. You may still be under warranty .

and how worthless does that show the dealership you're going to

if it was the pilot bearing... holy crap the noise would be unbearable and EVERYONE around you would hear it. the squeak is from your clutch pedal it's self, the hinge point where it flexes OR somewhere that goes through a flexing motion only when you shift and it's got to be inside the cabin.

replaced pilot bearing and transmission... wow...

and they wont even replace my trans for the crap syncros in it. it's GRINDING on first second and sometimes third and they will replace it from a simple noise coming from a joint that needs greasing...

i'm happy for you but MAN am i irritated about it at the same time...
