Default college grad discount

sup.

i ordered my tC last weekend, and was able to cash in on the $500 discount available to recent college grads with a job. the thing is, when i looked on the scion.com site after placing my order, the discount had changed to $400... i guess my dealer didn't know about the change, so another $100 in my pocket is all good anyone else do this?

How recent a grad do you have to be? They can't expect someone who JUST graduated to have a job, so I'd think they'd allow you some slack time, yeah? I look young.... I still have my ID... even though it's been like 3 years...

there are four imortant stipulations regarding grad rebates in california which i'm sure applies to other states. you have to graduate 6 months before or 24months after your associate, undergrad or graduate degree. have zero late or delinquent payments in your credit history and a document showing proof of employment. last you have to finance or lease through toyota financial, it does not apply if you go through your own lender.

also, it applies at the time of purchase.

Ok, just a question...don't think I'm eligible.

I graduate on Dec. 21st, 2001 (just looked at my Diploma)

I take it I'm NOT valid? or am I?

I DO have a job?

I had one single late payment, a 10 dollar payment, 3 years ago. My credit score is still 730. Do you think this will be a problem with the rebate?

So does that mean you can get it if you're currently a Senior in college? I mean I'm graduating this year, but how will they know if you're going to graduate within 6 months?

transcripts and credits. we need them to show that you're graduating in 6 months, but don't forget you have three other stipulations to meet to qualify.

if its showing a late or delinquent payment in the past or current you won't be able to get it, but some dealers don't read the fine print when it comes to this stuff so you never know.

i had queens borough public library collection on overdue books for $18 when i was 10 and it didn't show up until i started working and its still showing on my credit history. it doesn't dissappear until its been on there for 7 years.

Just so you know... it's 7 years from the time you went delinquent... not 7 years once they start reporting it. So if the first is passed for you... dispute.

yes, but it never showed before cause when i ran my credit report when i bought my first car 8yrs ago at 20 it didn't show, it came up 4yrs later under collections when i ran my credit report. by that time i wasn't a student and working full time. i guess public library system is slow when it comes to collecting money on overdue books.
