The higher financing rates will proably more than negate the $400 difference.

Scion financing rates are below 5%. 4.3% in my area for grad program.

To qualify, you must:
A) Graduate in 6 months or less, or have graduated no more 2 years ago.
B) Finance with Toyota (unless they have changed it)
C) Have no derogatory credit.
D) Furnish proof that you have income, or will start a job within 90 days.
E) Provide a copy of your diploma.

4.3% for now, although with the Fed rate hike today, it'll raise next month. 60 month loan. Anybody that qualifies for the college grad program can get the lowest rate.

JBHS98, B) is still true (you must be financing the car to get the grad credit). I asked my dealer yesterday about that because I am not financing but he said that the grad offer is a promotion from Scion financing so it is ony available if you are financing the car. Oh well.
