Default cop wrote down my tc as a Hyundai

got my first speeding ticket with my tc in central Jersey last month. I am looking at the ticket right now and notice "Hyundai" in Make of Vehicle.

The cop said he paced me at 65 in 45 zone. I was too tire to notice how fast i was driving.

I am going to court today at 6 pm. Trying to reduce my point. Wish me luck.

Hmm....Well technically you dont drive a hyundai tc, cause they dont make one....so maybe you could just get the ticket thrown out...lol...maybe...lol....probably not...ohh well, good luck

good luck dude! here in seattle we have a new thing going for us that we dont have to go to court to get tickets lowered. we just request a hearing by mail and they mail us this paper work and we get to state what happened and why we think our tickets should be lowered. I got my ticket for going 48 in a 30 zone and it was $188!!! After the trial by mail i got it reduced to $75! I guess our courts are to overloaded to deal with kids who drive a little too fast...

Some cops here have nothing else better to do...But somehow we have one of the country's highest murder rate????

This happened to me one time.
I drove 45 in a 35 zone and some dumbass trucker flashed his lights to signal at a Wisconsin State Trooper stating I was speeding. So I kept watching the Trooper in my rear view mirror and he kept turning on & off his radar gun while my radar detector is going off and on (so I know he's waiting for me to slip). The highway speed went to 55 and I speed up to 55...all of sudden he slows down; letting me get 2 miles ahead. I kept doing 55 and he speeds up again. Then he gets into the right lane and does "Street Racing" signals...I didn't buy it at all

Then this morning on my way home from work, I got too tired and my eyes shift down at my speed...I blew a stop light and got pulled over. Just got the warning and the famous words "Blowing stoplights are the first sign that the driver is drunk...Beware next time cause someone is going to stop coming from the other direction." I realized I did blew it and reacted too late so I kept going 45 in 40 zone. I hate working nights cause I fall asleep while driving sometimes and some days I make dumb moves like that cause I'm too tired to fully pay attention.

Do you guys feel that owning a tC...You guys get more license plate runs than any other car you owned? I see it all the time when I drive by cops cause you can tell since they stop at stoplight or sign alot longer or they will drive very slowly behind you.

I would like to see you guys sit on a forklift for 8 hours straight dealing with nothing except cardboard boxes and dealing with product numbers & quanities then pack them into 54' ft trailers then drive 40 minutes of dark country roads. Let's face it; 6:30 pm-3:00 am are really crappy hours...I rather be sleeping with the rest of the nation.

Although, it's kind of fun seeing yourself make a mental transaction from operate a 10,000 lbs forklift to driving 2,950 lbs Scion when you leave from work.

Here in PA a guy i work with got a ticket doing 20 over in a state park, BIG NO-NO. He had a red car, the cop accidentally wrote down that it was a yellow car. He got off scott-free. Even though they knew he was guilty of speeding, they had to let him go because the citation was wrong, but thats in PA. Try it there, be sure to bring it up. good luck

Keep us up to date, after court

No one said anything about a job making you tired. There is no need to be so selfish as to drive when you are not 100% alert. You could kill someone. You could take a 15-20 minute nap in your car before you leave and be fine for 1.5-2 hours of driving. Think about others.

I got a messed up ticket too. Last summer I was late for my golf tee-off (lol) and got busted going 80 in the 65 mph zone. The cop wrote "nissan cp" (I assume coupe) on the ticket. I normally fight every ticket, but since it was in another county and since I know I was going that fast, I let it slide and paid it up. Good luck with your own ticket.

i go to school monday through friday, drive two hours to get home, work 30 hours between friday night (6 hours), all day saturday and sunday (12 hours each day), do my homework sunday night for my monday classes, get to sleep at around 1230 to 1 am, then wake up at 5 am to drive two hours back to school. This has been my routine since fall semester of 2003, i have never fallen asleep, blown through a light or been in an accident going through this routine. and i have to share the road mostly with 18-wheelers and state troopers

if you are too tired to drive, don't. invest in a good coffe maker and thermos get more sleep in if you have to. play your radio really loud. open your windows and let cold air keep you up. but driving drowsy isn't much better than driving drunk.

yea i get that too, i just say its a toyota....nobody can accept a new car make lol...i tried tellin on the phone yesterday to UPS, cuz i wanted to meet the truck driver cuz i missed him coming to my house....so we setup up a meeting place on his route and she asked wat kind of car i had, i said a bright blue SCION tC, she said is it a 2 door 4 door, and then i said 2 door, and she went back to asking me who makes it, lol i got furious, and told her S-C-I-O-N, omg she was incompetent...then i went with toyota and she said oh ok...i think scion needs a news interview explaining its a whole other brand of car, but still toyota corporation....how come nobody confuses LEXUS with Toyota, Camry=ES300, Avalon=GS300, Supra=SC300(Older Model)

no about this hyundai nonsense. the judge should throw that out. if the police officer was observant enough to correctely identify your car, there is no way he could have properly measured your speed. shoty police work should be thrown out by the judge. i've heard of cases being thrown out because the writing on the ticket was completely illedgible. you have a get out of a ticket free card right there.
