Custom License Plate Illegal?
Posted this somewhere else but no feedback, so I am asking about for my tC =). so here's my question.
Hey guys I've been coming up with a few ideas. I was just wondering if I would violate any California laws if I don't have an "Official California License Plate," just as long as my original license plate number is on the car, it shouldn't matter right? As long as it's the right license plate number, it can be on any type or form of plate just as long as it's still visible with the naked eye right? As for having a license plate on the front of the car, I see alot of BMWs with a license plate but with no numbers, the ones with just the BMW logos, does that mean as long as they have a plate in the front it doesn't matter? or what's the deal with that?

of course you need the official plate.. what kind of question is that?
you also need to have the registration stickers in the right spot or else you will get towed...
not having a front licence plate (official CA plate) is a a $30 fine...
If the car is new, you can have the "BMW" plates for 90 days, after that the temporary registration (on the windsheild) expires...
