Dad's Volvo takes a bite out of my car...
Last Sunday I was visiting my parents, and my dad came home, and pulled into the driveway...He wasn't going fast, but he tapped my bumper...Cut to yesterday, and I noticed that there were two small holes near the bottom of the rear bumper, and exactly as far apart as the bolts that hold a license plate...Dad has these " bullet bolts" on the front of his car, that acted like fangs on my bumper..
So I went to the body shop, and the estimate was $420 dollars
I am probably getting it done next week, and Dad might use his collision insurance to cover the cost, or just pay out of pocket...Can't get too mad at him, Dad has been pretty cool about the whole thing...I'm just going to park down the street next time I stop by...

He decided not to use his insurance, and just pay the bill..I was suprised the repair estimate was so high-It breaks down like this:
5.9 hours(units?) of labor @ $50/hr + $108 paint/materials...They have to take the bumper off, make the repairs, then paint and clearcoat...The body shop is one we have used before with my dad's car and some of my previous cars, and they do quality work..
I am going to have it worked on next Wednesday, and hopefully get it back on Thursday night, or Friday morning.
