He probably just wants to read you the riot act and try to scare some sense into you.

Not that I'm sure you were acting recklessly, but 61 in a 35 is criminal in AZ, I would assume it there as well.

Not that I like cops, but that's a fairly dangerous speed for city streets. Here in glendale, a pedestrial was litterally obliterated and dismembered by a car doing 70 on city streets...

I'm not gonna lecture you, as I often speed to, but please be careful. 60mph+ with a few drinks is pretty damn dangerous!

wow, this is complete bs man.

Dont ignore the calls though, answer and say that you got a note on your car and where wondering what it was all about.

dont admit to anything, and like the others have already said get a lawyer just to be safe. Tell the lawyer the story and they may be able to find some law, or local ordinance, something that will get you off the hook because the police officer never lit you up

I was a passenger in my friend's M3 doing 110 in a 35. Now that's a scary experience. There was no alcohol involved, he's just a hardcore racer (usually on the track) and has no common sense. He didn't get pulled over at that time, but then I requested to get out because he was going to kill someone. Well, about ten minutes later, after I had gotten out of the vehicle, he was doing the same thing to show off and he got chased down by the cops and pulled over. The cops took away his car. Nice.

Complicated stuff your getting into here, seek a lawyers advise man... even if nothing happens the peace of mind will be worth the $$..

Donno about where your at, but in our area reckless driving is kinda hard to prove, 25mph over is the speed limitation here for Reckless driving. As for the dwi/dui he didnt stop and speak to you, so you should be good there. Evading arrest? did you see activated red and blue emergency lights behind you?

Sounds to me like the mans trying to give you a "come to jesus" speech.. Anyways we all play a little bit while driving but there are some things that should be saved for the track no?

***again*** ~Keep the rubber side down man~

Kids are funny now a days. If they really knew you did something, they could of came and knocked on your door. Not left a "call me" card.

The thing is:
1. You were not caught on the scene
2. They didnt flash any warning lights to pull you over
3. You were prolly at a far enough distance for them to follow you or visually see that it was you in the car
4. Using a radar to get your speed and infos might only be effective in certain distance (i could be wrong)
5. If the cop saw that you are doing something illegal, why would you be able to get away like a normal cruising to get home obviously you werent followed and that is something questionable..
5.

6. If this is the way they issue tickets then they could just sit there with their radar then towards the end of the day sum up all the plates they caught with their speed and leave them notes or send them in mail...
7. Why leave a note on the car, not a ticket, or formaly mail the ticket or the note at least to you..

YOU are funny, obviously he knew the guy did something thats why he left a call me card, the reason he left a call me card is because he didn't feel t here was any more effort needed to get hte point accross, expecially when he didn't catch him doing the action, he got to the guy after he got home.

tho i do admit, this thread stemmed from a weird irrational fear.

first of all it serves u both right for being stupid...

now with that said...

You need to stop letting your paranoia get the best of you! The cop can't do jack ****! If and when he calls you back, u just say that you have no clue what he is talking about when he describes the "alleged"actions and tell him that you consider that note harrassment and that your attorney is currently handling the situation. If you end up going to court, get that lawyer, and make sure to never admit anything...if you do, i hope they nail you because that is sheer stupidity and deserves to be punished.

RELAX!!!! And don't EVER drink and drive again...i don't care if it's only a few drinks...it's stupid and nobody should ever drink even one alcoholic beverage if they are driving that night/day

how are they going to get you for evading if they never attempted to pull you over? They can't get you for evading I would just laugh at that if they charge you. I would wait to see what happens and then if they charge you get a layer and I think you will get off no prob.

Seems like they trying to imply scare tactics and harass you. They would have actually done more to actually do anything. I wouldn't ignore their calls though as that could make things seem suspicious on your side. You said you never saw any lights flash behind you so there was no chase meaning no eluding of the police took place. Like others have said keep us posted.

btw...
Reminds me of the time where I was passenger in a friends car and had a short street race against a friend of mine. We see the cop car's lights flashing in the rear view and the car I'm riding in(Civic) goes straight while my friend in his RX-7 takes a turn down the nearest street(the cop goes after the RX-7). After all this goes down I talk to my friend on IM and he said the cop told him to stay there cuz he was gonna go after us in the Civic lol. So he takes off in his RX-7 and actually makes it home with no issues(or so he thought, his info was had). Minutes later he gets a knock on the door and guess who, the officer that pulled him over. He didn't go to jail or get a ticket luckily but warned that he shouldn't have left the scene. They never got us in the Civic and were still dumb enough to hang around that area for a few minutes to figure out where the RX-7 went. It's pretty much that catch you in the act and handle everything then, or nothing your off and gone. That's how it seems in the great state of Texas, and should be everywhere anyway.

I'm really surprised that guy didn't even get a ticket after fleeing from the scene when the cops clearly told him to stay.
