Default Defective windshield?

My tc is only two weeks old...I have noticed a haziness in the windshield even after thourough cleaning. Now I noticed when the sun shines through...there are millions of tiny flecks trapped within the glass. None of my other cars show this....anyone else notice this?

ive read some info from toyota on this.. and sometimes there is a film left on the windshield from transporting it.. if you've tried everything else and it still won't come off.. toyota (and i suggest this too) suggests using Bon-Ami powder cleanser.. you can find it any supermarket/grocery store.. get the windshield wet, apply some of this to the towel.. and scrub the windshield.. (and of course wash it away) should solve the problem..

i had a weird haze (could hear the wipers dragging across it) in the beginning, using bon-ami got rid of that quickly..

This is not ON the windshield...it is definitely sandwiched between the layers. I had the toyota tech try to clean it also the other day....no dice....there are millions of fleck buried right into the glass.

yeah if there are flecks INSIDE the windshield, that is definitely a problem.. looks like you need a new windshield.. i thought you had said the haze was ON the windshield..

yeah definitely a defect.. i don't have that..

one question, are the optics (as you look through the windshield to anything in the distance) distorted if you move your head from side to side while looking in the distance?

I know there are a lot of warnings on the side about not getting it on rubber trim.. It worked well, but it was too much care for me to be concerned about.. so i found some professional glass cleaner that had alcohol in it.. works great for me..

as far as tint, i'm pretty sure if you're not supposed to get it on rubber trim pieces (welcome to the windshield molding! doh!) then i don't think tint would be able to put up with it..
