Nothing like getting off that topic in a heartbeat....Hey I drive an Audi and I have to say I get it at least 2.15 times a week..ha ha.

But to someone's point earlier...I know first hand Audi's are really expensive to maintain, and I've been told BMW's are even more expensive....plus the Z3 sucks....it's a low powered girl's car, might as well buy one of those cheap mustangs (no offense to any mustang fans)...

 

Get a TC the Z3's are ugly, just my 2 cents

Want roadster? Wanna spend around 26k?
Get a Miata or a MR2 Spyder.
Eventho Mazda is owned by ford the Miata's reliability will be as good as the m3 or better.
You can get a pretty nice brand spank'n new Miata for 26k. There is also a Mazdaspeed Miata with a turbo and suspension upgrade come'n out soon. Not sure if that has an auto option. I'd personnaly go with a MR2 Spyder. It's a toyota and bullet proof. A spank'n new Spyder is just under 26k. It has the perfect car layout - mid engine and rear wheel drive. Best part for you is that it has a 6-speed sequential manual transmission. It's a manual without a clutch. Ya shift with wheel mouned buttons. Basically it gives ya the option of be'n able to shift even if ya don't know how to use a clutch. I'm not sure if either the Miata or the Spyder will pull in the girls for the reason that you'll want. But, once ya got them over at the car say'n how much they would want one I'm sure ya could convence them to go for a ride. :D

 

i'd take the mrs but then again 26k for 138hp isnt worth it.

btw, how did the GTS price raise from 23-24k to 26-27k so fast?

 

Dealers order gts's with all the added packages. The extra options shoot the price up to almost 28k. A bare bones gts + the dealers profit will run ya 23k. Suggest try'n to become buds with the fleet salesperson. They can order ya a gts how ya want it. By only getting what you want you can get the price closer to 23k, if not maybe lower. You didn't hear that from me tho.

When cars are in high demand, you can add all sorts of extras and force people to take them if they really want the car. Very un-Scionlike...

Course other than just squeeze'n more money out of the customer, have'n the full packages also fullfills a lot of what most customers what. A lot of gts buyers prolly do want a moonroof, HID headlights, leather trimmed seats, or the spoiler when they go to buy a celica. Annoy'n tho when ya have to buy some of those options when ya don't need them nor want them.
One can find a gt with no packages for 19k. Then ya could get the trd supercharger for 3k and ya would have a 22k celica with 175hp and 145tq which is 5hp less and 15tq more than a gts. Prolly just as quick if not quicker than a gts. Of course ya will have a 5sp tranny, not the gts's 6sp. *shrug*
