Default Different Foglights? (And Billet Grille)

Has anybody else seen this?

I don't care so much about the grille, but I like the foglights. They look like small projector fogs found on and for some other cars. Does anybody know anything about them? I found the pic on eBay (they're selling the grilles here) so I'll try emailing the seller.

Nope, never seen them before but they look cool. I don't like the grille to much but I love how the fog lights fit into the scoop. I think that factory ones should do that to

Definitely thinking about changing out the front grille…it will be interesting to see more options as they come out.

The foglights look an aweful lot like IS 300 fogs flipped upside down (which would not work worth ____ btw). They look great though I would love to see them in action.

Here's the reply I got from the eBay seller...
The photo was taken a Toyota and at the Toyota Accessories division. The fog lights are a Toyota product. If they are not available yet I’m sure they will be soon. You would need to contact Toyota for pricing and availability.

Weird. Maybe Scion was considering those lights for the foglight kit. Or maybe there will be another foglight kit in the future.

Interesting.

I think I like that particular setup better than the ones we've been seeing as the kit to be released soon. Has anyone tried contacting Scion on this to confirm or deny?

Those fog lights are bad news for the front brakes. Those vents are to cool off the front brakes. If you put fogs in there you are just asking for trouble. But I do admit they looks sweet .

Wouldn't you need to be doing some serious racing or braking to need a spot for wind to cool them?????

Exactly. If they were cooling the brakes I'd be a lot happier. As it is, if I get the foglight kit that goes in the center grille, I'm left with two non-openings that do nothing on either side of the car.

Yes, brake cooling ducts are more necessary when racing, but they are also helpful in any situation with a lot of heavy braking. In other words, they would help, even if it's just a little bit, in some real-world driving conditions.

Hey guys...

I just went out and snapped afew shots...the pockets in the bumper look like they're purely there for aesthetics.

heres the 1st

and the 2nd shots just abit closer. hope that helps?

As you can see they're not mesh material, but plastic instead. So if an aftermarket company decided to utilize that space for fogs, it wouldn't hurt any mechnical purpose I don't think.

I wouls like to see a grill made similar to the IS300 for the upper part. THe bottom grill I am not sure about and the forgs look a lot like the IS 300's. Maybe they will be super yellow too!!

Anyone else hear the same? I actually would prefer the fog lights in the side like that rather than the grill but didn't think I had an option with Toyota. Shoot, I was gonna get the fog lights November but I'll wait if theres another one coming out.

Nope, I haven't read anything like that. I would prefer fog lights in the scoops also but the only ones that I know of from the dealer are the ones that go on the outer edges of the grill.

I am pretty sure they wont come up with it. Since TRD is going to do "factory" SC, they will use those holes in the side for cold air induction for their kit - and this is why Toyota has used such unusual space for foglights.

I am saying this from experience, but I dont know if it is true. Actually it is pretty thoughtful of them to do so...
