Default dilemma...need input

I have ordered a silver tC at two dealerships (one didn't require deposit). I did this because one of the dealerships charges a doc fee while the other does not. Well...as luck would have it...I got a call today from a dealer saying the tC has arrived. Unfortunately, it has arrived at the dealership that charges an extra $300. The other dealer says it should arrive around the 12th of August, but can't give me an exact date. What should I do? I am concerned because of the horror stories I have read about people whose tC never seems to come in.

Thanks,
a

first make sure the one that has come in has all the options you ordered, especially the transmission and color

if you really wanna save 300bux, they arent gonna make you wait forever, although it seems like it, but it just lets you enjoy it more when you get it after a long wait

i'd save the 300bux and spend it on an upgrade or sumtin and wait another 2weeks

buy it if you think the option match what you ordered and your need. but refuse it if dealer throw you some crap just try to make extra dollars. i rather throw my $$ to homeless than dealer.

Negotiate! You can buy, but you can walk away if they don't drop the fee altogether or at least significantly.

well...i made a few phone calls. the other dealer should have mine sometime between the 10th and 16th...it is currently at the railhead now (whatever that means...it is close). the other dealership was completely unwilling to move on price...apparently the pure pricing makes them unable to move on advertised prices. so, i will save the few hundred bucks and wait a week. besides, the car that is already here has floor mats, and i have already ordered them from mcgeorgeparts.com :D

thanks for the input...just one more week!
