You should try and figure out how to get the buttons to work, you'd be the first one. But like I said, this mod is only for those who have a secondary key fob that does keyless entry.

I just eyed out the Mazda switchblade key, this would probably be the best option for those who want the buttons. I saw a guy from g35driver retrofit his g35 key with a mazda switchblade. He got all the buttons to work.

I've always wanted those keys from Ebay, but I don't know how to make it work. I'll have to try this out. Thanks

Yep, thats the retrofit i'm talking about. And the key has a good heft to it, and its pretty easy to turn it inside the ignition.

This guy did a Saabaru into a VW key conversion. I might try this in the summer, I really like the VW switchblade key. Of course I'd change the logo too

I was wondering. If the buttons don't do anything, why is the switchblade thing so big. wouldn't it only have to be wide enough to fit the key and a spring?

I'm going to try to retrofit a mazda switchblade sometime soon WITH the remote just for fun even though i don't need it. So you guys stay tuned! And my switchblade is broken now, I messed it up when i took the top off when I initially did the install.

yes you do, your valet key sits in a box and is only called when you activate the remote start. otherwise, you still need a chip near the ignition

has anyone found out where the immobilizer on the valet key is? and has anyone implemented the remote so the keyless works?
