Default Does anyone got a "full TRD Scion tC"?

i was wondering if anyone has a TRD Scion.. ( i mean.. like, TRD Supercharged, TRD CAI, TRD suspension etc..)

here is my dream TRD tC:

Axle Back Tuned TRD Exhaust .............................. $370
TRD Cold Air Intake................................................ $350
TRD Short Shifter...................................................... $240
TRD Strut. TRD springs and TRD Rear sway bar...... $750
TRD Front tie bar.......................................................$170

-----------------------------------------------------------
....................................................................................$1880

"stage2"

TRD Torque Diff.........................................................$1100
TRD Supercharger.....................................................$1900
TRD heavy Duty Clutch...............................................$530
---------------------------------------------------------
....................................................................................$3530

and the total is 5410

thats the difference between Civic Si MSRP and Scion tC MSRP...

i think Scion should come out with a Si killer TRD version of tC...

Scion tC-S :D S stands for Sport or Supercharged....

I probally have one of the closest trd tc's here I think to what you were asking.

trd exhaust
trd short shifter
trd struts/shocks/front and rear sway
trd 18" 5 spokes
trd supercharger
(and many more mods, but my car still looks "factory"ish.

i had a trd intake before the s/c (for like 2 months, sounded great acctually).

I have the LSD/clutch but its not installed yet. kinda waiting till i smoke this clutch

you must have an "early" tc, because my s/c for my 07 was more around 2900 msrp

the car is way different now, doesnt flex/lean in turns, pulls pretty hard once boost comes in, and just smokes the tires through 1st and 2nd.

one OTHER thing you didnt factor, was all the install $$ money for the upgrades.

I don't know how close it would be to a civic Si (may actually be better?) but it would be pretty unique to have all TRD mods. but considering that the parts alone are $5K+ imagine how much a production model tC would cost, I'd say close to $25K if not more, right around the Si.

So dollar for dollar, which would you buy? TRD tC or Civic Si?

I'd take the tC (as long as it has the OEM lip kit)

With that being said, anyone else think it's crap how 07+ supercharger is still ~$2900 , compared to 05-06 at ~1800?

all trd upgrades are nice and unique but you can find better parts at a lower or same price as trd.. but then its also nice to have that option right from factory, that it would be considered stock plus you dont have to pay for the installation... and for that total its pretty much same si and prolly perform better.

I guess its all relevant on who you know. I personally get a deep discount at MY sponsored dealership, and they will beat ANY price for me, and then some.

I paid $380 for my tires, (18" proxies) w/ free install (mount/balance) and they removed my old TPS's and put them in the new tires as well. I told them pep boys had a buy 3 get 1 free on the tires, so they said "we can beat that".

IF you plan on spending THOUSANDS and thousands of dollars, ask to speak with the parts manager. THEY should hook you up. I get a price match + 10% at a minimum, PLUS I dont have to incur shipping charges (because they take care of that).

Some of my parts were bought at 50% MSRP from scion, and I also get a labor rate discount. If anyone lives in hanover/york PA I have some "referal" cards that will get you hooked up.

Again, if you go in there and only spend like $1500 or something.. you probally wont get a deal, but I let them know from the begining what I was doing/building, and they have worked with me all the way from my FIRST service and purchase (which was around 2 thousand dollars) . I didnt even buy my tC from that dealership, but I wish I would of.

As far as finding better parts for the price.. IMHO in MY EXPERIENCE - I doubt it.
Also, my car will ROAST a civic SI hands down in the handling, power to weight, and also looks 10x better.

SC TC>NA SI any day.

now add a turbo or sc to the SI and I might have a serious problem on my hands. However I dont have a stock S/C either.

It also helps, to make friends at the dealership. Go introduce your self to people, be friendly, and polite. Hell I sent over 4 pizzas when they did my S/C install, when I go there - EVERYONE says hello and stuff now. Its pretty cool. I gotta do something like a 10ft sub or something for them for xmas. I get a loaner car for even the smallest things, like having them install my tires/oil change just so I didnt have to stay there.

I was unaware TRD made a front sway bar. Maybe strut bar? If they do make a front swaybar send me the link please.

well... civic si is really nice but is not a "beast" like the integra type R.. and i think a TRD scion would be closer to the ITR...

yea.. with all the trd package u would and up around 22-24.. but it is a better car than a 21k msrp civic si....)

i bet u most of u guys would upgrade the suspension and exhaust on the civic si too.. and thats another 2 grand to the 21k msrp... and its still not that good like a trd tc.

i would be really happy with a scion like that.. but hell yeah.. i did spent my money on other, better aftermarket parts ( hotchkis spings, hks custom cat back.. etc)

I had a tC that had everything you have on your list, was taking names and having fun. TRD is expensive but then again, who isn't right?
