Default Does anyone know...

I was wondering if options like alarm, spoiler, and all that good stuff was installed at the factory, or installed at the dealership? Because I only ordered a tC with Scion security add-on. Is it possible to ask them to just remove the extra's at the dealership? =\

They do most of the installs at the dealer, but many dealers won't take those options off. They'd rather sell the car as is to someone, and just order you the one that you want. If you ordered the car with just the scion security, there shouldn't be any other accessories put on (unless they messed up, or are trying to squeeze some more $$$ out of ya). If they put any unwanted accessories on and you clearly stated that all you wanted was the security system, tell them that and make sure they get it right.

They can remove stuff at the dealership, but It is my understanding that the installation takes place at the port the vehicle arrived at. I am sure though, that if one wanted to add something after their vehicle arrived at the dealership, said dealership would accomodate any upgrade desires.

they most likly will not remove the items.
they had to pay their employee to put the stuff in there (included in the price of the option). now you are asking the dealer to pay their employee to take it out.
all this with out charging you a penny...
get real, it won't happen like that.

unless the dealer is really starving for the sale, it won't happen.

The only option I had installed is the spoiler, and that was done at the dealer.

Alltghough it was a different circumstance, my dealer debadged mine for free. Even though Toyota payed their employees to put them on. My point is dealerships like content customers. Never say never.
