Just for the record, it's not your insurance company that's making the determination; it's Toyota. I first saw documentation listing it as a Toyota Scion at the dealership. My real concern would be showing a registration slip to a cop which says Toyota. Although the windshield registration sticker should say the same.

Probably similar to the reason the owner of a Lincoln Navigator would rather not have it called a Ford...

We have "unique" vehicles and want to retain that "uniqeness" in the official paperwork, too.

In reality, it makes little to no difference - the vehicle doesn't change depending on the name it's given, but psychologically it makes a difference to some owners.

progressive is an auto insurance around here, it looks pretty good and they always use the very first commercial with the middleaged dude

cuz thats what i had when i was insured by progressive

i changed to statefarm and to geico
little out of topic but,
for me, progressive was 3300 a year, statefarm was 1900 a year, and now geico is 900 a year!
huge difference!
