Hi,
I am trying to install a new door check/stop myself. I got the door panel removed but still cannot access it to replace it. Does anyone have or know where I could find an actual diagram of the door itself so I can figure out how to get inside of it?

you have to take the door speaker out too to remove the door check... does your window not go down all the way?? why are you changing this part out??

i had to change it out on my 06 tC cause one of the nuts snapped off and caused my window to only roll down half ways now... i heard there was a TSB about the door checks causing the windows to not go down properly.. i might go to the dealer this weekend to see if its still under warranty...

back to your question.. all it is is those two nuts pictured and the one one the body of the car itself to remove it... you have to take out the speaker to access it a lot easier..

Thanks for the info, this helps a lot. I am replacing it because the piece is cracked and makes a loud popping noise everytime I open my door. Functionally the door is fine, but its annoying. Scion dealership quoted the repair at around 250. Yes, there is a TSB on it if your car is under warranty.
