gonna be hard to do.......it is a sheathed cable that goes to the lock ,if you can get inbetween the window and the door frame and push the unlock button is probably the easiest way.

Does he not have spares? If you buy new, you get two keyless entry keys and one valet key.

I doubt there's a good pic of the door/lock setup. I mean, there are parts diagrams, but they're all exploded so stuff isn't really where it is supposed to be. Don't know if it's an option, but you could pick up the Hayne's repair manual or something.

You wont find a diagram that you are looking for. And yes, trying to Slim jim it is gonna be tough due in part to what BZinn1 said. If the car was new he should have a spare key..

This is about as close a pic you will find, but not what your looking for:

Okay...first question I gotta ask is how do you lock your keys inside a tC? It is very hard to do, the car goes out of it's way to keep you from doing that.

The only way i could think of is to leave the key in the car, but not in the ignition, open the door, press the power lock, and then close the door.
Why you would use the power locks on a car with remote control locks built onto the key itself is beyond me.

Default Door Locks

Thanks for the information guys, and your question, "How can you lock your keys in a Scion.....", well, I'm still wondering how he did it.

well, it is just that if you lock your doors before you get out of the car, opening the door automatically unlocks that door. if you were to leave your keys in the ignition, and lock the door while closing it, the car knows the key is still there and unlocks the door a moment after you close it. so the car does just about all it can do keep you from accidentally locking yourself out of it.

honestly I would call a locksmith that opens cars, they can have it open in like 2-3 minutes,it cost you but they are really good at it.....I took some training at it when I was in autobody school and it is quite an art.

^^that is what is was going to say, maybe the dealership could just make a simple copy just so you can open the door.
