E-Brake Light Comes On When Accelerating Hard!
I dont know what the hell is happening to my TC, hopefully something minor. Anyways today after watching Nascar with my Old Man I left to go home and on the way back everytime I accelerated in 1st, 2nd and 3rd somewhat hard my E-Brake light just kept popping up out of no where. So I decided to stop my car and go up and down with the damn thing to make sure it wasnt stuck. Took off again and it kept doing it. Can any of you intelligent folks tell me what the hell is wrong with this car. Thanks alot.

That happened to me awhile back. It means that your brake fluid is getting low. Check it and add some brake fluid and you should be good to go

........ never just fill up your brake fluid...
if it's low.. it's probably low for a reason.......
check your brake pads FIRST.
cause... yea... the fluid can be low due to your brake pads..

this happens to me also... except i've checked my fluid and its good... and i JUST changed my pads (front and back) and checked fluid after that and still good.... whats going on??? is the lever loose and on hard acceleration it lifts slightly up? like just enough to make the light come on? if not should i go to toyo and have themm look at it?

how many miles do you have on your car? you may have a bad brake fluid level sensor but I doubt it sense it is only under acceleration... make sure it is up to the max mark, not the min mark but again don't fill it up, recheck your pads....

another quick check you can do is wiggle the e-brake slightly and see if the RBWL (red brake warning light) comes on easy... if so, then maybe the e-brake position sensor is bad... not saying for sure, because I haven't seen the car personally... just throwing out ideas...

yeah everyone is correct here about your brake fluid being low. I just went through the same thing a month ago. When I accelerated hard , the brake light will come on for a few seconds then disappear. I called my local dealership and the service adviser said that it is an indicator that the brake fluid is low and that most likely I need new brake pads. I brought it in for an oil change and brake inspection. The front pads actually was at the level where it needed to be replaced. So I got the front rotors resurfaced and brake pads changed out. They told me that you will probably go through 2 sets of front brake pads before you change out the rear pads one time.
