Default E-Brake sticking

So when I disengage my e-brake, it goes about half-way down with the indicator light still on. Of course if I disengage it and force it down completely, this is not an issue. Is this a normal action on all tCs? With every other manual car I've driven, I depress the e-brake button and let the stick fall - and no problems.

Maybe I should take this is for warranty repair if this isn't common...

nope, with the tc you have to depress the button on the end of the lever and take it all the way down.

you have to push the button to let the car know that your disengaging it, other wise it is going to catch like it is supposed to.

would think a 100 year old man would know how an ebrake lever is supposed to work.

back in my day we didn't have e-brakes...we used our feet.

Thanks for the tip - odd I've never experienced this before in my 80+ years of driving.
