Ebay
Be very cautious about what you buy on e-bay. I use e-bay all the time and I love it, however, when you get into buying things for your car, thats where you have to really pay attention to detail. Do some research on the tail lights here to see if there are any problems (wiring not right, condensation, etc.). For example, I bought a pair of "carbon fiber" tail lights for my old car which looked great, shipping was fast and it was from a reliable seller (99% positive feedback). After a few months one of the tails started getting condensations inside so I had to fix it myself. No biggie, but still, just be careful.
Check the user feedbacks and read the negative ones. E-bay can be a great place to save money and it can also be one of the biggest pains in the ___. Good luck if you decide to do it and post the link up for the tails so others with a little more expertise can check them out.

yeah totally agree with you ^^^^
always scope things out.
If you see something that seems to cheap, its going to be crap.
I understand ebay is for saving money but be sure you know what you are buying.
Some sellers show a picture of something but sell only a small part

Also, keep an eye on the shipping charges. Alot of people will list the item for a really low price, then gouge you with the shipping. But you can get some good deals if you do your homework.
E-bay is one of those things that if people use it they way they should it would be perfect. Of course there are people out there trying to scam people. Some items look to good to be true and sometimes are but there are deals you can catch every once in a while.
Also, if its something that costs alot of money, ie a turbo. Stay the F away. Your more likely than not to get screwed buying a turbo on ebay cuz it costs $1000 as opposed to $3000. Pay the $3000 now to get a turbo from a reputable company so you dont have to pay another $5000 later on cuz your turbo blew up your engine.
some stuff is good like the smaller stuff like i've bought lots of carbon fiber pieces and like the short antenna and lower priced parts on there, but never trusted the more expensive stuff. but know what you are saying since i have looked at the light housing units with halos but dont trust them
ok that seller isnt familiar with the car at all. Thats an "Altezza style" according to them. They are generalizing here. Plus the fact they named the car as a Toyota Scion tC... Dont trust em. They might as well have called these lights JDM.
why should you trust us? we're people you havent met in person, and are typing text on a screen that you're reading via the net, giving you advice that may or may not be right or wrong. same situation with your seller on ebay.
its your money, and ultimately your call. if you order these lights and they dont work, dont fit right, or crap out on you...its your loss. do your homework before you buy on ebay.

right what it comes down to is basically the way people present themselves online. Since you cant tell who they are or see what they're selling physically, the way they present themselves is to me just as important as their feedback, etc. If he calls a specific taillight "Altezza Style" (btw these arent made by Altezza and Altezza is the Japanese IS300, not a company, the term comes from that cars style of tails) and calls the tC a Toyota Scion tC then he obviously has no in depth knowledge of the car. He just saw what people are buying, got some parts as cheap as he can get them and is selling them to whoever will buy them. Dont expect him to answer ANYTHING regarding the item that would actually require atleast a bit of knowledge. This is why I said he would have been just as well off adding in JDM into the title somewhere.
Sooo Whats goin on here? Go check his feedbacks click that little number next to his user name and read. on if you think you have read enough good things about the seller then go for it.
Ebay Gospel:
-Research an established part..... ie: Megan exhaust, ALL over the internet....check for pricing and shipping cost.
-Search for it on Ebay and make SURE the seller(s) are offering genuine parts from the manufacturer.
-Look at shipping costs...Make sure the ship price isn't jipping you!
-Check previous buyer feedback....If they are drop-shipping from Taiwan or Hong Kong or taking 2 months to ship....you may be waiting a while for your parts!
-If you still have a good deal after all of these criteria have been met, then I'd be willing to bid!
Good luck!!!

I get 90% of my stuff off ebay and never had a problem, always contact the seller and ask some sort of question even if it is stupid if they dont answer dont buy, read the feedback and make sure you read ones about the product you are buying. Usually stores are ok to buy from if they have good feed back. Tail lights are all the same on ebay just make sure they are DOT stamped and your fine getting them they have passed road safety tests. And altezza is a company they produce a bunch of euro style lights.
