ok... with buying tail lights how do i know its legal and going to pass expection. should it say DOT stamped or OEM?

 

make sure it says SAE/DOT stamped (NOT A STICKER) but that it is physically stamped permanently on the plastic, SAE is society of automotive engineers, and DOT is department of Transportation DOT is required by law to be on head and tail lights on any road vehicle, while SAE is juat an approval by the society if it has both your normally getting a good quality light.
