Default Elongated Tracks for More Legroom

Legroom is one of my biggest complaints with the tC, so I started reading an article in USAToday or something like that highlighting some Cali companies that will redo the track and seat so that you get more legroom out of your car. Anybody hear about this on the east coast? Anyone know how much this costs to have done?

i am tall and also lack room. i find that if you recline the seat it helps. i don't mean lean back like a thug or anything. just tilt a little further and sit back more in the seat.

i have no knowledge of your track desires. however, it's only four bolts holding down the seat. undoing them, making four new holes, and rebolting would not be all that difficult

How tall are you? I know this topic has come up before and guys who were like 6'3" had no problem with leg room in the front seats, rear is a different story. Just to tell you, according to race drivers the optimum driving position is when you have your knees bent when they are still touching the pedal. So if your driving and your legs are completly straight, your actually too far back.

That would be awesome if they could make longer replacement tracks. It's just that the tC is a 2 door, and I bet most people use it with only 2 people on board. I wish the passenger side would slide back 3 more notches just for comfort.

I'm 6'2" (no giant by far), but I'd like a few more inches - just my personal preference. My goal isnt to have my legs perfectly straight, but I'm no race car driver either. In fact, I drive a tC, so I'm not even close to being a race car driver. I just don't like the fact that my knees come very close to the steering wheel when the wheel's in a comfortable position. Seems that it's either my arms or my legs that have to suffer. Just thought if a fix was easy (not ready to put some new holes in my floor) it might be worth it. Besides, I'm not concerned with people sitting behind me.

I'm assuming you know the steering column is adjustable, right?

... of course, hence "when the wheel's in a comfortable position."

Creative Compacts needs to get up on this.

Just make tracks just like factory, using factory holes, but make them 4"-6" longer.

Ditto, 6'5" with 36" inseam and I have no troubles at all, legs are very comfortable. tC fits me like a glove.

Now when I drive my soon-to-be father-in-law's 2005 Rav4, I find I have less legroom and feel very cramped.

Leave your inseam out of this.

iam 6'0 180lbs, and i actually have to move the seat up a bit, if not i cant control the clutch as well. If i put the seat all the way back when i push the clutch in it's hard to get it all the way down. So iam guessing you guys got auto's?
