Engine ECU learned values.
It depends on how you drive it. ECU controls in automatics usually adjusts to the owners driving habits. I don't have alot of miles on my car to tell if it drives better but I don't think it will improve in performance unless you modify your engine. And driving a manual gives you more control of the gas mileage than an automatic if you know the points when to shift.
automatic has an ECT
Electronically Controlled Transmission
The car won't shift into overdrive until its been warmed up
AND
It controls its shifts based on throttle position. If put your foot down, it'll stay in gear longer and vice versa.
