nice
first car shows are fun..i had mine last year..if your talkn about preparing as in cleaning it up..then here's what i can suggest..
wash your car of course.
claybar all the other crap thats stuck to the body (removes everything!).
wax your car ;)
wipe down your windows with window cleaner.
clean up the rims.
wipe down your tires w/degreaser, clean it up and put tire spray.
vacuum your car just incase people are peaking inside your ride (which i always had to deal with =/).
clean up your engine bay, door jams.
look for little rock chips if you have any and touch them up if you have the paint.
buy a car duster if you have one..i use it ALL the time man.
do all this the night before and just throw on a car cover if you have one of those too!
so practically..just clean anything dirty that's visible
if you have quite a bit of mods..i'd start up a spec sheet and place it infront of the car or tape to your window so people arent buggin you all the time lol

Well the only thing I can say is clean the car, takes about 8 hours of hard work for me to get it show ready, then another 2 hours once at show topping off the cars cleanlyness and shine.
Most of all have fun with it......I have been in about a 2 dozen shows now, about half of them had over 100 cars in them all makes and models, only taken home 2 trophys....and one was from a big show,2nd Place Mild Scion......yes that is a cool feeling to win anything at a big show.....but we go to have fun and see all the cars and hang with the people.
When you go look at other peoples cars, see what they are doing to theirs, see what products they use to clean and polish with.......there is a lot to learn....after about 4 shows you will start to get a good idea what you need to be in your local area shows.......then you can decide to compete or stay on the fun side.....but most of all enjoy your first show.
Win or lose......if you goto have fun you cannot lose.......

Are you running stock headers? if you going to show with that heatshield you should try polishing it up more you can get it shinier other than that it looks good.
well it's a show where all proceeds go to some breast cancer thing, not into someones pocket. Shows are fun. either one you go to your gonna have a great time. I'm going with a bunch of ppl from the Mass. RI area sooo..
Have fun!!
Have fun!!
Kool! I remember my first show. I was lost out of my mind! lol Well another tip too is to clean the wheel wells(Unless your slammed!) Ive been to 3-4 shows where they do that. they check the most random areas. Just do what was stated above and your should be good to go. your car is clean looking as well...
