Default Exploded Differential Gears

Who's tC is this in Chicagoland?

Yesterday, I visited the dealership for an appointment I had for interior rattles. I waited a long time for the repair to be done. The service assistant gave me the privilege to hang around the shop and watch the tech work on my car while I waited for 5 hours. I saw another tC in the shop hoisted on the rack with a hole in the transmission housing. I just had to take these pics with my phone. It looks like the final gears exploded out the trans. I don't remember if it was a manual or auto. Sorry for big pics. Check it out.

I could say more of what I saw pertaining to those decals, but I'll shut my mouth.

I see a stock exhaust manifold and s-pipe, CAI, angled exhaust... so do tell, what are the stickers for?

wow. What the hell could have caused that? Think if he backed up and then shifted to F to be cool could have caused that? Judging by the pipes, it doesn't look like he's got anything major under the hood. Some weird shh.

Does anyone know how this can happen with a completely stock set up (minus the coffee can exhaust muffler)?

I was thinking maybe the owner was spinning their tires on a patch of ice and then tires eventually caught pavement at 6K rpm. Something is bound to break in the driveline, but I would of never thought it would be in the trans. Usually, the drive axles are the weakest part in the driveline. Thought they would of busted first.

Just because no one else has said it yet I am going to blame this all on the stock tires. They have way too much grip and tear the transmission to pieces at the slightest thought of WOT. lol

Knowing the dealership isn't important. It's the product that failed which is of concern.
