i dunno if its just me... my car... or its actually true but,

i was racing my imaginary self, mashing the gas pedal, flooring on every gear, and hearing my tires chirp in 1st, 2nd, and sumtimes 3rd (note: my tires have 11000 miles on them.) and when i slamed into 4th and was going through. i noticed there was a lil extra KICK at 5 RPM in 4th gear. its was tiny but it feels great. can some verify if im dreaming?

 

I've actually never noticed.... might have something to do with the power band?

Anyhow, yes I've felt the yank in 4th. Good stuff.

 

I guess I kind of notice it too now that I look for it haha... I don't really feel it as much, but the speedo definately climbs to 100 in 4th a lil faster once you get up there. No complaints here! I can't wait to boost this _____ though lol

 

It could be the muffler design. It has 2 phases.

phase1 = low rpm and it goes through a silencer that robs a bit of power from you but keeps the engine quieter.
phase2 = high rpm; it bypasses the silencer and frees up some power. It happens at your other gears but you probably shift before you can feel it.

It's a bad way of saying it and I'm not even sure that the muffler robs you of power when silencing but that's my guess.
