Factory warranty with TRD parts
Ok so I went to the dealer today. I am buying a tC as soon as they get a 5 speed in . Put a down payment on it and everything . The only problem so far. They don't have the s/c, so i will have to wait for it. Well I asked if I bought the s/c later on say in two months and i have them install it, will it still be under the factory warranty. I got three answers.
1. It will be covered under the powertrain warranty.
2. It will not be covered under powertrain but it will be covered under TRD's warranty (1 year)
3. It will be covered under the warranty and under the extended if I happen to get that.(which i do). Bumper to bumper.
Anyone have any clue on this? I talked to the finance mgr, service manager and a salesperson all giving me three different answers. I finally got them all together and noone really knew. They gave me a copy of the extended warranty, but the verbiage is really obscure and the way it is worded almost anything can NOT be covered.
I also wanted to know if any of the parts that they sell at the dealer like interior lights, homelink rearview mirror, strut bar, sway bar, fog lights, etc etc will be covered if I bought them from a place like toyotaparts4u.com they are the same thing and I would have the dealer install them, so would they be covered. All these parts that I want are 50% less than from the dealer. a HUGE savings.
Thanks and sorry for the long first post

Conflicting stories.
Ok I went into two dealers today to ask about this same issue. One dealer told me it will def. be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty....
The other said they are pretty sure it will be the powertrain warranty.
TRD's site says powertrain.... who do I believe..
Anyone have a number for me to call so I can research... I will be looking more into this in the next couple of days.. Cause I def want the S/C if I get this car.. but I am leaning more and more towards the RSX type S.....
