Heavy duty clutch
Do you really need it? I mean I won't be racing it at all... maybe every once in a while i will get on her.. but mostly an everyday commuting car for me....
Should I spring for the $500 clutch? Sway bar? Strut? Like I said.. i really don't plan on taking turns at 50mph, or doing a slolom (sp?) course.
I am just looking to improve the hp/torque but only in a straight line
i also don't want to do anything to it that won't be covered under the warranty.
Thanks
Ryan

The TRD clutch is not very important unless you plan on the supercharger or some major power upgrades. The clutch is only gonna give you a slight quicker reaction time and grab slighty better. The most important one I would look into getting is the rear sway bar. That would show noticeable improvements. Front strut tower bar is more for looks than anything.
Well I am one of the ones that IS getting the s/c. As soon as it comes out that will be the first upgrade.... only because I am not used to driving a car with ANY hp at all, and well I drove the RSX type S and I loved it... totally can see myself in that car but the tC offers almost as much HP but WAYYYYY more torque for less money.. and i like the tC a little better...
The Acura seems like it is made better, but then again it is an Acura. I keep hearing bad things about rattle in the tC, there arent any in the Acura though..

My tC has just over 100 miles on it and we already upgraded the system. No rattles so far. I have 2 1100 watt 10s (300rms each), a JL 500/5 amp, and a Pioneer 8600. Stock internals and they handle the amp very well.
As for the supercharger, I can't wait till it comes out. The dealer wouldn't even sell it to me yet when I bought the car, I tried... But that's when the front strut bar will help you out. It may be for looks now, but it will drastically cut torque steer when you have a high HP car. I had a 2002 Turbo Civic EX, and an Evo 8 before this car. The bar will come in handy in the future.

TCguy,
good to know about the bar.. thanks... I might be getting that..
Not to bash ya or anything but i don't know a sub on the planet that is rated at 300W RMS and can handle anywhere near 1100W. JL makes a pretty decent sub and they rate their 12W3 series at RMS 300 and 750 will blow the thing up period. They have tons of charts at any Sound Advice or stereo place where JL is sold to show you these numbers...
I will say though that there are plenty of 1100 W subs out there but well you are talking $$$. IDMAXX 12's are probably the best I have heard in a LONG time if ever... and they handle 1000 W allday. I might be getting one of those in a small sealed enclosure for the trunk.... Zapco 1100.2 : )
