did anyone notice the disclaimer at the bottom of the rs1 page on scion.com? 18'' tires are expected to experiencegreater wear than convintional tires.tire life may be substantially less than 20,000 miles depending on driving conditions. i call BS on that more crappy tires for the tC.

I would have thought they put the Pzero Nero's on the 18"s

Strange.

Just about any high performance tire that uses soft rubber has a low tread life. The Pzero are awesome tires but with their high grip comes low tread life. You can't have everything. The stock Bridgestone's use a harder rubber compound and give crappy traction but they will last longer.

I think someone said that you have to have the VIN from the rs 1.0 to get the grill. Dunno for sure tho.

dealer told me that they're available. think about it like this-if someone screws up something on their car, the dealer would just get it for them. they wouldn't ask for the vin number to get replacement parts.

Someone posted about this, I dunno where because the search sucks, but basically they said that the dealer computer wasn't allowing orders for those parts, you had to call Toyota and speak to a parts rep to get them.

*shrug*

This could be false tho.

Default lame choice

thats sad they arent putting the TRD springs and shocks on this car.

so basically it has NOTHING to set it apart from any stock Tc.

strut bars dont do squat on this car

Just saw the interior. This car really should have come with color matched steering wheel and shift ****. The dash just looks so... STOCK.

These RS releases are starting to suck.
"Let's see how little we can put into them and still charge out the nose for the package!"

Adding more flavor to the dash would've been a nifty idea, but if could choose one extra option included in the package it'd be the TRD springs. Hopefully I can save up to get some myself.

In regard to "paying out the nose," that's not exactly true.

EMX tire/rim package + door sills + strut bar + AEM dress-up kit + floor mats= $2,170. The RS is $1,775, nearly $400 less than what the dealer would usually have you pay if you bought the parts individually for another tC (and perhaps even more for installation to upgrade the rims & rubber). Other items can't exactly be priced, like seat fabric that matches the exterior, a mesh grille, and perhaps a higher resale value for a limited-production vehicle. It's probably not the most valuable way to spend one's money, but Scion is not price gouging their customers when it comes to the Release Series.

the grille alone has a list price of over $1,100....i may remove the desposit I have on an RS and just keep my SW...RS owners should watch out for rocks and thieves..you have an $1,100 bill sitting on the front of your car.

hmm...i think the dealer just convinced me to trade in my indigo ink pearl tc for the limited edition red tc...lol i was in to get my roof tightened up because it was making poppin sounds and they were just taking off the rs tc off the truck. the dealer let me check it out, i think its pretty cool. the red looks a lot better in person.

Default Found an Absolute Red tC

I found an Absolute Red tC at a dealer outside of Pittsburgh (Andretti Scion.) I spoke with the salesperson and she said that if you want it, she will take a deposit over the phone to hold it. GOD IT LOOKS GOOD!!! Anyone intrested her name is Chris Wheeler 1800.237.9051 (chris@andrettiscion.com) Pictures don't do this car justice. Hope this helps anyone that is looking.
