Woah, that's weird, I just got a Flint Mica tC on Friday for my gf and was told by my dealer that he just heard that morning it was delayed to mid-Nov, not Feb. 05. :?

I was also told that I should get the intercooler with the supercharger. The supercharger would add 40 horses while adding the intercooler would add another 60 for a total of 260!

Regarding the RSX comments, as an RSX-S owner I can speak from experience with both cars that the tC with just the supercharger probably won't take down a Type S. The tC is heavier and the engine just isn't as responsive. Once you add that intercooler it's a different story and I'm sure you guys will be taking us down all night long -- that's one of the reasons we chose the tC over the RSX after all. (tC insurance is also cheaper.)

I really hope TRD is able to get the supercharger+intercooler kit out there soon, as I can't wait to compare it to my ride. I was told by my dealer that they're limiting the supercharger to just 40 horses because they really want people to pair it with the intercooler.

i doubt adding an intercooler to the supercharger kit will yield such gains. if it was true. i would be all for it

Even with the extra weight we are lugging aroung the S/C tC should be at least as fast as a stock RSX-S. The Acura has more hp, but it comes at the upper end of the revs- THe tC should have enough torqe to at least keep up with the acura once the supercharger is on, even with "only" 200hp

Actually once you get out of first, from there all the way to top speed you're still on the big cam in the RSX-S. Unless you just don't know how to shift it properly you should never get out of VTEC, Acura did a top notch job on the gearing.

Look, I'm not trying to diss the tC, I did buy it for my gf after all. That should say something. Personally I think it's the best deal out there right now. With all the mods TRD is developing I think it's awesome. Just sucks that we'll have to wait until February to see how it all pans out.

im waiting, nothing better than a part thats been engineered, tried and trued by the manufacturer themselves, no hassle, more power, great reliability

I haven't heard the HP numbers mentioned above, but I did hear that the TRD S/C will be the base for an upgrade path that would include an intercooler. Anything more than that is pure speculation, but I've heard there could be S/C upgrades in multiple "stages".

Ohhh.. that's cool. I'm glad they're doing that because if I'm going to spend that kind of money I'd like to be given the option to get more than a 40hp gain.
