Man, speaking of that... I've been tracking the "Outside Temp" gauge the last few days and today it said 122F when I was driving on the 101 in Woodland Hills.

Yeah carrying one wouldnt be bad.. Lets say in a gas station you could get static and create fire you never know you might not find a fire extinguisher that works. But as said "sh^^t happens" but are you just gonna stare at that sh^t?

That's some awesome photo shoping I wonder what caused that fire though because it looks stock from the outside.

don't forget when your jack up your car on a hill you chang use the fire extinguisher as a wheel chuck.. lol ..

but but for the people saying keeping one in your car is stupid , old school what ever... thats like saying that keeping a fire extinguisher in your house is a stupid idea. Its added safety just in case.

Yeah that sucks when you accidentally grab the real NOS and spray it on the fire.

I have one, only cause i get points at shows for it. Funny story actually, I was coming home from college for a show this past weekend, and it apparently went off in my trunk on the way home... I didn't even noticed. And you might have some use for it, I certainly would have, my crappily put together wiring crossed its self and melted 40ft of wire, smoke, but apparently no flames, or at least i didn't see them.... It was all the reason i needed to redo the wiring, and get a fire extinguisher. But you really shouldn't need one except for looks, and safety points at shows....

with all the wires running thru my car... amplifier, sub, speakers, two sets of nitrous, purge, heaters, radar detectors, blue lights.. etc.... chances that wires might cross are higher than normal, and i have already had run ins with melting wires, so i have multiple needs for my extinguisher, but is it a neccessity, for most cars... no... could it hurt to have one... not at all

Dunno, I never trusted fire extinguishers since seeing this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEEqElbh86M

"He struck the teenage marshal at approximately 170 mph. Van Vuuren was thrown into the air and landed yards in front of Zorzi and Bill. The fire extinguisher smashed into Pryce's head, before striking the Shadow's roll hoop, which threw it over the adjacent grandstand. It came to earth in the car park to the rear of the stand, where it hit a parked car and jammed its door shut. The impact with the extinguisher had wrenched Pryce's helmet upward, and he had been partially decapitated by the strap. Death was almost certainly instantaneous."

@ Fiero comments. I've owned two of them.

Fire extinguisher is never a bad thing to throw in the trunk. As far as mounting it visibly...uherummm...no.
