first tank of gas.. 24mpg?
so i drove 310miles when the light came on.. and filled the car back up which ended up being 12.7 gallons.
= 24mpg
i hope it improves??? 24mpg is a bit low isn't it? i realize it's just my first tank.. but.. damn. oh well.. i'll just break it in some more.

Just a couple of questions for you people:
1) Is it really safe to let your tank drain until the light comes on? I mean, aren't you driving on fuel that could be contaminated?
2) If you fueled when the light came on, does that mean that the light comes on when you have 1.8 gallons left of gas? Because I know that the tank is a 14.5 gallon tank.

Break in time milage will be lower.
Usually once you have about 10K miles on them, you can consider it broken in. At this point, you might opt for synthetic oil...
That said...Mine went over 300 today and I still have over 1/8th left. :D
Im calling BS on the two different reports of someone getting UNDER 200 miles to the tank and someone else getting over 400.
No matter HOW different your driving situation is, you will not see that large a difference of gas mileage in the same model car.

I have consistantly gotten 300ish out of a tank. Premium/regular, no difference. Drive hard/Take it easy, no difference. I haven't seen below 280 when the light comes on, nor have i seen above 310 when the light comes on.
